Position Summary: As a Software Engineering Intern at TerraCity, you will contribute to the algorithms and models that power our cutting-edge urban planning software products. You’ll work on impactful projects that directly influence how cities are planned and developed, aligning with our mission to empower safe, sustainable cities and contribute to a net-zero economy. During your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in developing production-quality software using modern tools and industry best practices. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with passionate engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and optimization of software tools, including data processing pipelines and backend systems.

Assist in designing and implementing algorithms for various applications.

Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Support database management and optimization tasks to improve performance and scalability.

Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate features into production environments, ensuring high-quality, maintainable software.
Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or TypeScript.

Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of graph theory, game theory, or linear programming.

Experience or passion for transportation and urban planning.

Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.

Familiarity with full stack development.

Experience working with NoSQL databases.
