Position Summary: We’re seeking an experienced Data Science Consultant to support our data science and machine learning initiatives. This role involves working on TerraCity’s data ingestion pipelines, managing machine learning operations, and refining our model training and performance evaluation processes. This part-time position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects in an emerging field.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize data ingestion pipelines.

  • Implement and manage machine learning operations (MLOps) to streamline model deployment.

  • Train and evaluate predictive models, ensuring performance aligns with project goals.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve model accuracy and efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant industry experience.

  • Proven experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in building and optimizing data ingestion pipelines.

  • Experience with machine learning operations (MLOps) and model evaluation.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

 

Preferred:

  • PhD in a relevant field.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Knowledge of graph theory, game theory, and linear programming.

  • Industry/domain expertise in transportation and behavioral modeling.

  • Familiarity with advanced machine learning frameworks and data processing tools.
